Hi everyone, I'm new to this server and wanted to ask a few questions before I create my own. I've been looking at the discord rules, and the first thing that comes to mind is that I need to have a role in order to create a channel. Is this correct? Also, when creating a channel, what kind of advice do you guys have for me?

You do not need to create a new discord server. You can find an existing server and join it. Once you are in the discord server, you will see other people who are also members of that group. You can then talk to them about the issues at hand and what needs to be done about them.
