I would have preferred curtains more. They are tighter and provide better protection from the sun.
I bought some blinds in Vancouver https://sonatadesign.ca/vancouver-blinds/ not too long ago. They matched my interior very well and decorated my flat perfectly. You can do that too. I think it will do you good. And they're great against sunlight, too. The consultants at this shop were very quick to help me find what I needed.
